Why It’s So Important To Show The Face Behind The Brand

Think of your current marketing landscape - Facebook posts, Instagram stories, bold and bright web ads, snazzy mailers…

What do all of these things have in common?

Well, aside from being rooted in the fast-paced world of social media and e-marketing, they’re all based around visuals.

As a society, we consume an enormous amount of visual content on a daily basis - it’s how we absorb everything from news to entertainment to (you guessed it) business advertising. So how on earth do you stand out amongst this absolute sensory overload? How do you grab and hold a potential customer’s attention long enough to make a positive impression?

The answer is so simple it’s virtually criminal.

It’s all about personality.

At this stage, your potential consumer base has probably seen and heard it all. These days, it’s not just about having pretty product photos and snappy captions. While those factors are definitely a part of the overall package, customers want more.

They want to get to know your brand as if it were a person in its own right. They want to learn more about it, take it out on a coffee date, meet its parents, see if this relationship really has the potential to go somewhere, ya know?

The next question is, how do you show the personality of your brand or business in a way that is eye-catching, aesthetically pleasing, and social-media friendly?

CORPORATE HEADSHOTS.

(Imagine a whole bunch of little glittery golden pixels cascading over the text like sparklers on New Years’ Eve.)

Now we don’t mean your average, run-of-the-mill, awkward stand-and-pose kind of headshots - no, our kinds of headshots are fun, vibrant, exciting, and have that little bit of extra oomph (that certain je ne sais quoi, if you will) to set you apart.

There are three main reasons why showing your face (and your teams’ faces, if you have one) is absolutely vital in this digital age:

1. It builds your brand’s personality

Seeing the face behind the ‘voice’ of your brand has the ability to appeal to customers who respond well to personal connections, and who crave person-to-person interaction in what has become a very isolated time in a lot of people’s lives.

2. It inspires trust.

People trust a face they can recognise, especially if they see the same people on a regular basis and begin associating those people with quality products, services, or information.

By showing your potential customers the faces behind their favourite things, you’re telling them loudly and clearly, “Hey, look at us. We’re here. We’re real. We’re putting real human care and effort into whatever it is that we do for you. We’re not secretly lizard people on the other side of the computer screen. Trust us."

3. It introduces a human aspect to your business.

A lot of businesses right now are missing that ‘human’ aspect to their branding - it’s all product and no personality. Nothing a potential customer can relate to on an emotional level. This is your opportunity to break through the static and differentiate yourself by showing your clients the very real human behind the brand.

Do any of these points strike a cord with you? Do you want to shine through the saturated digital marketing space? Are you ready to unmask and show your clients the hard-working, dedicated human beings behind the brand?
